HOW TO APPLY AS A VOLUNTEER?
The registration of volunteers is open for 2021! They will proceed as long as we have spots available, so do not hesitate, even if you are relatively late with your registration.
You can apply as a volunteer by clicking the link that you will find at the bottom of this page. After that, you will need to create an account on our volunteering application.
Please do not forget to fill out the land code from your mobile phone number (for example '+32' for Belgium) and to fill in your correct email address. These will be the primary communication channels between VOLTAGE and the volunteers.
Please note that we will not accept your registration if your profile is not entirely complete.
WHEN WILL YOU KNOW THAT YOUR DEMAND TO VOLUNTEER IS ACCEPTED?
When you have registered and completed your profile on the VOLTAGE VOLUNTEERING APP, we will contact you as soon as possible. This can take up to 4 weeks, as we contact everyone personally.
No stress needed and temper your electricity, we will contact you very soon.
WHICH PERIODS CAN YOU VOLUNTEER AT VOLTAGE?
We need volunteers before, during and after the festival.
- During the build-up: 02 – 03 – 04 – 05 – 06 AUGUST 2021
- During the festival: 07 – 08 AUGUST 2021
- During the break-down: 09 – 10 – 11 – 12 AUGUST 2021
Here you can find more information about the reward system when you work as a volunteer before, during or after the festival.
If your volunteering application is accepted, you will get a free entrance ticket. What kind of entrance ticket you'll receive depends on how many days you are willing to help us.
- 1 day of volunteering: DAY TICKET BY CHOICE (SATURDAY OR SUNDAY)
- 2 days of volunteering: COMBI TICKET (SATURDAY + SUNDAY)
- 3 days of volunteering: CAMPING TICKET
- 4 days of volunteering: A LEGAL VOLUNTEER CONTRIBUTION
The volunteering rewards can be applied in a different order, depending on your needs.
Please note that we only provide you the reward after you fulfilled your contribution as a volunteer.
WHAT TO DO IN CASE OF CANCELLATION?
Please let us know on time, so we can find a replacement on time! Of course, we hope this doesn't happen, but if it does, please send an email to email@example.com.
VOLTAGE WILL MAKE YOUR STAY AS COMFORTABLE AS POSSIBLE!
During your volunteering period, you can stay at the VOLTAGE CREW CAMPING.
Volunteers are welcome to check-in from the night before the start of their shift, at 21h00. We advise you to come early so you can install your tent at ease and let the VOLTAGE atmosphere sneak up on you.
Please bear in mind that you must bring your own tent, even if you are a scavenger, we recommend having a roof over your head!
Specific check-in details and shift timings will be sent to you closer to the festival by mail.
SHOWERS & TOILETS
There will be restrooms and showers with hot water. This way, you can feel as fresh as a lemon pie all day long.
FOOD & DRINKS
There will be hot meals and fresh drinks provided during your volunteering period. Though for the hungry ones among you, we advise you to bring your own food and beverages during your spare time.
HOW TO GET THERE?
BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT
The nearest railway station is located in Kortrijk.
When leaving the railway station, you have to walk to bus terminal 4, platform 41.
Here you can take one of the following buses that will lead you to TRANSFO ZWEVEGEM:
- Bus 91 (13 stops) – Get off at the stop: Zwevegem Breemeers
- Bus 92 (12 stops) – Get off at the stop: Zwevegem Vaart
- Bus 93 (10 stops) – Get off at the stop: Zwevegem Brandweer
Don’t worry if you are lost, you can take a look at the website www.delijn.be or you can go to the bus information point (De Lijn) nearby the railway station to get more information about what bus to take.
WATCH OUT: If you arrive late in the evening, we advise you to take a taxi to the festival, public transport isn’t available during the late evening & night.
Carpooling is fun, so don’t forget to bring your friends! This way, we are a bit more friendly to nature and you’re having fun at the same time. Sounds like a win-win situation.
