How to apply as a volunteer?
The registration of volunteers has started. They will proceed as long we have spots available, so don’t hesitate! You can apply as a volunteer by clicking on the link that you will find at the bottom of this page. After that you will need to create an account and fill in all the information that we need from you. Don’t forget to fill the land code from your mobile phone number (+32) (Belgium)... and neither to fill in your correct e-mail. These will be the main communication channels between the volunteers and Voltage Festival.
After receiving all the necessary information, we will start the selection process. Please note that this can take up to 2 weeks. Don’t stress and temper your electricity, we contact all our volunteers personally!
Which period can I volunteer at Voltage Festival?
We need volunteers before, during and after the festival.
Build-up of Voltage: 05 – 06 – 07 – 08 – 09 august
During the festival: 10 – 11 august
Breakdown: 12 – 13 – 14 – 15 august
If you help us as a volunteer during the build-up or breakdown of the festival, you will be rewarded with:
- 1 day of volunteering: day ticket (can be refunded)
- 2 days of volunteering: Saturday + Sunday ticket (can be refunded)
- 3 days of volunteering: camping ticket (can be refunded)
- 4 days of volunteering: a legal volunteer contribution...
The volunteer reward can be applied in a different order, depending on your needs.
Please note that we only provide you your reward after you fulfilled your prestation as a volunteer. If you want to volunteer, we will refund your ticket after your job is fulfilled.
What facilities are there for the volunteers?
We provide everything a volunteer needs before, during and after the festival.
During your volunteering period you can stay at the Voltage Crew Camping. Volunteers are welcome to check-in from the night before the start of their shift, at 21h00. We advise you to come early so you can install your tent at ease at the crew camping and let the Voltage atmosphere sneak up on you.
Specific check-in details and shift timings will be sent to you closer to the festival by e-mail.
Showers & toilets
to make your stay as a volunteer as comfortable as possible we will provide toilets and showers with hot water. In that way you can be fresh as a lemon pie all day long.
Food & Drinks
we will provide you food & drinks during your volunteering period. Though, we advise you to bring your own food and drinks for your spare time!
How to get there?
The nearest railway station is Kortrijk.
When leaving the railway station, you have to walk to bus terminal 4, platform 41. There you can take:
- Bus 91 (13 stops) – Get off at the stop: Zwevegem Breemeers
- Bus 92 (12 stops) – Get off at the stop: Zwevegem Vaart
- Bus 93 (10 stops) – Get off at the stop: Zwevegem Brandweer. that will lead you to Transfo Zwevegem.
Don’t worry if you are lost, you can take a look at the website www.delijn.be or you can go to the bus information point (De Lijn) nearby the railway station to get more information about what bus to take.
Watch out: If you arrive late at the evening, we advise you to take a taxi to the festival, public transport isn’t available during the late evening & night.
Carpooling is fun, so don’t forget to bring your friends! This way we are a little bit more friendly to nature and you’re having at the same time. Sounds like a win-win situation.
